Case Studies
Click on an image below to view examples of some projects that required specialized solutions. From Ground-up site planning for state-of-the-art facilities to emergency response solutions and more, we’ve seen our share of complex projects that resulted in positive outcomes.
CTDI
Fios Testing Facility, Coatesville, PA
This global leader in communications and logistics required a comprehensive, ground-up site architecture for its new Coatesville testing facility. With a looming deadline to begin immediate testing, diagnostics and repairs for Verizon Fios equipment, they needed a solution that met their needs for innovation, functionality and cost-efficacy – in an incredibly short span of time. Matt took the time to learn the needs for equipment, staffing, infrastructure and facility logistics, develop an overall site design and engineering plan, implementation plan and began execution right away. With the imminent deadline to begin production looming, the execution required long, 22 hour days, almost ‘round-the-clock dedicated support.
The end result was a beautifully functional and efficient, state-of-the-art testing facility with all electrical wiring, voice, fiber and data cabling installation completed on time with a cost-conscious delivery.
When you need a custom, ground-up solution on time and on budget… think Positive.
GoPuff
Warehouse and Facilities, Philadelphia, PA
Who delivers emergency response when the delivery powerhouse is without power? When an electrical fire struck a warehouse that stores millions of dollars in perishable and frozen foods, time was of the essence; and innovation required. GoPuff needed immediate emergency response, not only to get their facilities back up and running – but to save their products in cold-storage as well.
Use of generator power enabled the immediate salvage of millions of dollars of product… but that was just the beginning. The site needed a custom solution to re-wire and restore functionality in the wake of the fire. Matt was able to create a plan and get the facility functional again in a very short timeframe and then work with PECO to make the transition back to utility power.
When you need emergency response, think Positive.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
FBI Facilities, Philadelphia, Ft. Washington, Trevos, Allentown
When our country’s finest needed technical and electrical solutions for a number of their facilities, they trusted Positive Wiring to provide the highest levels of service and support. Not just any company can walk in and work with the FBI. It not only requires expertise in conventional and cutting edge technologies, but to pass the required security clearances requires a level of professional integrity that speaks to the trustworthiness of our team at Positive Wiring.
As to the specifics of what we’ve done for the FBI at their various facilities… unfortunately, we aren’t at liberty to discuss. While we’d love to tell you all about these jobs, suffice to say, each facility and their needs are state-of-the-art and utilize some of the most cutting-edge solutions we’ve designed to-date.
When you need a contractor you can trust to delivery quality, cutting-edge solutions with integrity… think Positive
St. Charles Seminary
St. Martin’s Chapel, Philadelphia, PA
When no other company would touch the high and lofty lights at St. Martin’s Chapel, a hail-Mary call found a contractor who could rise to the occasion. The problem was multi-faceted: a wiring and electrical plan so old that nobody knew the first thing about combined with lighting fixtures so high that no contractor would touch the job.
With over 25 years of expertise and an innovative, problem-solving approach, Matt McDevitt was able to create a solution to re-work their lighting and electrical systems, safely execute the installation and deliver a user-friendly system with master controls and site schematics that would save time, cost and headache for any future work. Hallelujah.
When you are in need of illumination or elucidation of technical complexities… think Positive.
